I am a multimedia developer currently in my final year of the Multimedia BA (Hons) course at Nottingham Trent University. You can find more information about me at my online portfolio.
Grassroots Media is a report written by me as part of a final year personal research project. It looks into several important areas, including what grassroots media[w] is, how it came about, what technologies facilitate it and what challenges face it.
This website gives access to the report in various formats. Media-rich versions containing embedded audio and video are available in Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf) and HTML Help (.chm) formats. For more information, see the download page. Simple versions (not containing embedded content) are also available. A 'live' version of the report is also available in wiki[w] format. It's open to all for editing, so feel free to get stuck into that.
Source files relating to the project are also available. These include unedited video and audio files from various interviews, editable versions of all written content and all of the graphics and photos during the course of the project.
